Dr Tony Rea

Dr Tony Rea Badger Learning AuthorTony Rea worked for over 20 years as a teacher of history and citizenship in secondary schools. He has also been the Chief Examiner for GCSE history and has worked as examiner and moderator for GCSE citizenship, history, and politics syllabuses.

After departing the 'chalk face' Tony lectured in teacher education at three UK universities. He is now self-employed, undertaking education consultancy, examining at GCSE and university level, and writing. In 2012 Tony founded Gambia-Extra Limited with Alan Hutchison. Gambia-Extra specialises in educational group visits to The Gambia, West Africa, including visits for teachers, A-level and university students.

As well as two GCSE history titles published by Badger Books, Tony also has school books with Oxford University Press and Phillip Allan; as well as numerous academic papers and chapters.
