A spooky and eerie new series of fiction for struggling and reluctant readers.

This January we published a new series of fiction for students aged 13+ which are perfect for struggling readers who are ready to move on to longer books but are intimidated by full-length novels.

Papercuts consists of six titles that include ghost, horror, supernatural, action and adventure stories which have themes touching on friendship/relationship issues and extraordinary happenings in the real world.

Written by respected and accomplished authors, these six titles have spectacular covers that will attract the attention of any reader.

    A LITTLE SECRET - The Book Awards 2019 category winner.

     

    I am very excited to announce that the team here at Badger Learning have won the Coventry Inspiration Book Awards – Rapid Reads category. This award is for the best quick read book for young people aged 11-16.

     

    A Little Secret, written by Ann Evans and James Lawrence took home the award. This book is part of our bestselling series, Papercuts, an eerie series of short reads for teenagers.

     

    We are so proud to have won this along with Ann and James as we were up against some huge titles and even bigger publishers. It’s particularly gratifying as this award is a vote by young people in Coventry who are reading these books and voting for their favourites in weekly elimination rounds.     Almost exactly a year ago, we published our first Papercuts series, a brand new bone-chilling horror series for teenage reluctant readers. The eye-catching covers and gripping content were the perfect combination and the series proved very popular.

     

    So it is with great pleasure that we are able to spice up your January for the second year running, with a brand new Papercuts series — Papercuts II. Granted, the name might not be that original but the stories are so fresh they’re practically still dripping.
